About me

The path to where I am now was not a straight one, to be sure. After getting kicked out of college and eventually landing in the field of graphic design, I joined a little-known startup in 2001 called Netflix. Over the course of the next 11 years I got real-world schooling in brand, brand position, marketing, messaging, PR, competition, international expansion, business strategy, and more.

Today, I’m a consultant living in Silicon Valley with my lovely fiancé Christine and our elderpug Lily.

I love to run, cook (see main Instagram account), make, drink, and review craft beer (see Craft Beer Barry Instagram account), review oddly flavored potato chips (see In The Chips With Barry instagram account), and golf. If I still lived in San Diego, I would add body surfing to the top of that list.
